Flock for Fun and Security
Why and How You Should Use Multiple Browsers and Flock
If you are worried about online security, and who isn’t, then Flock can help you be safe by using my latest trick to make social networking easier and more fun.You can read here about the use of avatars for privacy. There is also a way that you can be tracked other than your name. It’s referred to as a fingerprint and it is more unique to you than your name. It may be enough to create a traceable fingerprint.
Everything about your internet connection is digitized in the form of a fingerprint: computer characteristics, browser, browsing history, email address, etc. It's like your online face. But there are ways to distort and invalidate those fingerprints like wearing masks. So, let’s have fun networking with friends while we confuse the nasty online trackers and databases.Use multiple browsers like Internet Explorer, Opera, Firefox, and Flock but use each one for a different purpose.
Anonymous browsing is one idea but it takes extra effort and their IP's get blocke in an effort to keep you from hiding. Anonymous is effective as long as you're not doing anything illegal. The courts might be able to get your identity. On the other hand, Using each browser for different puposes would give each browser an even greater fingerprint diference like a group of people were using your connection.
The Flock browser can help and increase the fun. You can be “The Man with a Thousand Faces” when you’re on the internet. Sometime show your IE face and at other times show your Firefox or Opera face. Use the Flock browser as an alternate face to separate your social activities from everything else. The most fun way to engage socially is with Flock. You don’t have to be an expert either. Flock works great for beginners too and even makes it easier to learn. It will even help you get started if you’ve never done social networking before.
Getting Started with Social Networking the Easy Way
If you want to learn social networking or you just want to make networking easier then Flock is the answer. Flock is more than a replacement or supplement to Internet Explorer. It securely keeps track of all your accounts in one place. It’s actually like Firefox on steroids.
If you prefer you can opt to type in your passwords each time and not have them remembered for you but the way I feel (my bad) is if they’re hacking into my browser my security has already been compromised. Bad thinking, but out of all the times I’ve been hacked they’ve never targeted my internet passwords. I don’t mind if you tell me why I’m wrong, really.
Here’s a list of some of the things Flock can do.
- Flock is equipped to keep you up to date with your contacts from Facebook, MySpace, Flickr, Twitter, etc.
- The Flock toolbar is pretty simple and straightforward.
- The Media Bar keeps track of your favorite online albums and video sites.
- You can also customize the browser with a variety of extensions and add-ons.
- When you connect with Flock, you can be automatically connected to email, photo sharing, social networking, and blogging services.
- You can easily drag and drop anything (pictures included) to share with friends.
- It has an easy to use graphical interface for most networking activities.
- Flock is secure, when pop-ups, viruses, and spyware are being blocked. You can clear the browsing history quickly too.

TIPS
- Maximize the webpage you’re viewing for less scrolling and easier reading. [F11] undo [F11] again.
- If you have sites you visit ever y time you go online, like webmail accounts, open them all in separate tabs then click, Tools | Options | Main | Startup, Home Page, Use Current Page button. To decrease the confusion with all the tabs, when you want to follow a link right-click on it and select Open Link in New Window.
- With Flock you can drag and drop to share photos, videos, favorite links, blogs, your own writing, or your life story. Try it out as you learn. The results are always amazing.
- In your Favorites, create a folder and name it #Logon. The ’#’ will bring it to the top of the list when you Sort By Name. ‘Favorite This Page’ all your login pages for your webmail and online memberships and in the powder blue bar that appears above the page click the ‘Edit Properties’ button and with the dropdown ‘Folder:’ bar select the #Logon folder. That makes it so easy to make sure you don’t miss logging into one of your pages.
